About Prayershake

Prayer can be private without being solitary.

Prayershake gives families, friends and small groups a quiet place to pray for one another, even when they cannot be in the same room.

Prayershake is a free, private prayer app for people who want to pray together. It helps trusted groups share prayer causes, add spoken prayers live or at different times, and know when someone has shown up to pray.

Why Prayershake exists

People often say, “I’ll pray for you,” and mean it. Then the day moves on. The person who asked may never know whether anyone remembered, and the person praying may struggle to build a steady rhythm.

Prayershake closes that gap. It turns a good intention into a small, repeatable act and lets the other person know they were held in prayer.

How Prayershake works

  1. Add a cause. Write down the person, situation or decision you want to pray for.
  2. Choose your people. Keep it personal or invite family, friends or a small group.
  3. Pray in the moment you have. Pray live with someone else or add your voice in your own time.
  4. Keep showing up. Reminders and streaks help prayer become a rhythm rather than another forgotten intention.
  5. Close the loop. People can see when someone prayed and respond with a thank-you.

Private by design

Prayershake has no public prayer feed. A cause and its shared audio are available only to the people included in that prayer. Your full address book stays on your device; only a contact you deliberately choose to mention or invite may be sent to Prayershake.

People can report harmful content, remove participants and block other users. Our Privacy Policy explains the data behind each feature in plain language.

What Prayershake is not

Prayershake is not a public social network, a performance of faith or a replacement for a local faith community. It is also not an emergency service or a source of medical, mental-health, safeguarding or professional religious advice.

It is a practical tool for remembering people, praying with care and building a shared daily rhythm.
